Taking place in Nottingham from 23rd-26th February 2006, the Loom festival aims to represent not only our underexposed local electronic music artists, but as broad a range of international talent as possible. I worked with flyer and leaflet designs from Vent Media to come up with the website layout and back-end system that displays information about artists and events.
I'm delighted to have been involved in helping the festival take place - should be a great event and I'm really looking forward to it!

We were looking for a comprehensive expertise of website creation. We were looking for somebody understanding and living modern web standards. We requested a specialist being capable to realise and implement efficient and serviceable coding whilst pushing the limits. We demanded someone not saying "that doesn't work" instead of finding creative solutions. We were asking for flexibility and patience to deal with non-english people.
We are very happy that we found all that by contracting your great service - and we got much more than all of above!

My old company website was looking very unprofessional and a few clients had commented on the appearance, so I began looking for someone to help me redesign it. A friend suggested 'Rent-A-Monkey' and with a name like that I had to give it a go!
I e-mailed Dave and received a very prompt response with some very good questions (things I hadn't thought of). I had a think and answered the questions, then Dave came up with a proposal which I initially thought was a bit complicated, so I asked him to explain his ideas to me, and he explained it all in simple English so I could understand exactly what it was he had proposed.
I gave Dave the go ahead and within a short while he was able to show me a working 'template', I was astounded! It looked great, was quick to load and looked very professional, just what I wanted!
I gave Dave the OK to do the whole site and he did so, within our agreed time frame. My site now looks very professional and has helped attract more customers (Dave also helped with search engine registration).
Dave's rates were very reasonable and I've also spoken to him a few times since asking for a little bit of advice with keeping my site up-to-date (with the pages I have added) which he has been happy to provide me with.
Overall I can't praise his work enough, the quality is superb, he delivers on time and communication throughout the process has been first class. In short, put a monkey to work, and get your site the face-lift it needs!

Cut The Mustard cutthemustard.net
22/07/2004
Technologies Used: XHTML, CSS, PHP
Graphic Design: Cut The Mustard
Description:
Cut The Mustard is the home of Bristol-based artist and designer Tim Stephens. Having worked with Tim on a previous project, it was great to be asked to build his own website too! He had a very specific idea in mind about the look he wanted for the text on his site, so I came up with a way to keep things looking exactly as he required, while not compromising on the accessibility of his site. Image replacement techniques are used so that although the text on the pages is actually an image, the real text is also present for visitors who can't see the images.

The service I have received from this company has been faultless and the communication and working relationship has always been smooth. We have used Rent-A-Monkey for several web programming projects and they will always be our first choice for the future. When others say it's not possible, Rent-A-Monkey ignore that and find a way to make it happen!
If you Rent-A-Monkey, you rent a pro!

Funk Bubble is a new and exciting toiletries company for women, specialising in 100% natural products. They needed an online shop to sell their products, and I was called in by Tim from Cut The Mustard in order to build the site from his designs.
The site uses a fair amount of JavaScript to create the navigation and page system desired by the client. However, it still works 100% with JavaScript disabled, since extra features are "method detected" and only used if they are supported by the user's browser, once again demonstrating my commitment to inclusiveness and compatibility with any browser.
